    Assistant Teaching Professor

    The Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) invites applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position in its Department of Public Policy and Administration. The start date is Fall 2021. A Ph.D. in Public Administration, or related field is required.  Our department values the diverse perspectives of faculty, staff and students and seeks candidates who  are comfortable teaching in multiple modalities including face-to-face, online, hybrid and remotely. 

     

    The Department of Public Policy and Administration offers the Bachelor of Public Policy and Service, Master of Public Administration, and Ph.D. in Public Affairs.  Alumni manage public and nonprofit organizations throughout South Florida and nationwide.  The Master of Public Administration is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) and is the highest ranked MPA program in South Florida. The Ph.D. in Public Affairs was FIU's first doctorate and its graduates include faculty at Georgetown University, Rutgers, Colorado-Denver, and Penn State.  The 16-member faculty is nationally and internationally renowned for the quality of its teaching, research, and service. Undergraduate and Master's level instruction is conducted through online, face-to-face, and remote modalities, to in-service and pre-service students.
