We're very pleased to announce that the third edition of The Nonprofit Sector: A Research Handbook is now available from Stanford University Press. Containing 29 new chapters, it brings together leading researchers-economists, historians, philosophers, political scientists, and sociologists along with scholars from communication, education, law, management, and policy schools-to  offers a cutting-edge empirical and theoretical assessment of the state of the field. Some of the topics we consider include the history of the nonprofit sector and of philanthropy; the politics of the public sphere; governance, mission, and engagement; access and inclusion; and global perspectives on nonprofit organizations.

You can read the introduction here

It's available on Amazon, your favorite independent bookstore's website, or via SUP (You can save 20% when you order on the SUP website with discount code NONPROFIT20).
