Join us as we expand our impact!

As you may have heard, the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration is now an independent academic unit at the University of Delaware. In this period of growth and change, we are thrilled to be able to expand our impact and bring new colleagues into our ranks.

We currently have two faculty openings accepting applications, and we invite you to apply or share with others who may be suited to the positions.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Professor of Civil Discourse
This new named professorship will focus on scholarship, teaching, and engagement at the intersection of civil discourse and public policy and administration. The inaugural SNF Professor will have a faculty appointment in the Biden School, work closely with the Biden Institute, and be the academic anchor of the SNF Ithaca Initiative. Review of applications will begin in September 2021.

Master of Public Administration (MPA) Director
The MPA director should be qualified for a tenured faculty appointment in the Biden School as an associate professor. The director will teach courses in the MPA program and will be responsible for the governance and management of the program, as well as for advising MPA students. The expected start date for the position is September 2022, but a winter 2022 start is possible. Review of applications will begin in September 2021.

I look forward to meeting with applicants for both positions, and to connecting with you in the near future.

    With best wishes,

    Maria P. Aristigueta

Dean, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration
Charles P. Messick Chair of Public Administration
