    The Department of Public Policy (DPP) at the University of Connecticut seeks to fill a one-year visiting position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. DPP is home to the NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration program (MPA), the Master of Public Policy (MPP), the online Graduate Program in Survey Research (GPSR), the minor in Public Policy, and four graduate certificate programs in Nonprofit Management, Public Financial Management, Leadership and Public Management, and Survey Research. The Department offers additional focus areas in Social Policy, Urban Planning, State and Local Government Management, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

    This position will be filled at the Visiting Assistant Professor level. This is primarily a teaching position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the area of public policy, public management, and/or other areas of specializations within the Department. Preference will be given to candidates who have research and/or teaching interests in quantitative methods, social data analytics, public policy, public management, organization theory and behavior, human resource management, project management, and/or labor relations.

    The successful candidates' primary teaching assignments will be to offer core and elective classes in the MPA program, the MPP program and the undergraduate minor. The specific teaching assignment will be determined based on the abilities and interests of the candidate and the needs of the Department and might include graduate or undergraduate classes at the Hartford Campus or the main campus in Storrs. Duties include teaching and service to the Department and University.
