Dear PNP Members,
I'm excited to share that the AOM Board of Governors has renewed the PNP Division for another three years — and offered some encouraging feedback on our strategic plan!
Over the past several months, our leadership team developed a 3-year strategic plan for 2026–2029. Our four goals are:
1. Expand volunteer capacity so that division and program chairs don't feel overextended
2. Improve communications so members feel more connected to the division
3. Host a standout 50th Anniversary celebration at the 2028 conference in Toronto
4. Develop a 3-year budget that supports travel scholarships and increased investment in 2028
And speaking of 2028 — please mark your calendars! The PNP Division will be turning 50, and we plan to make the Toronto conference a real celebration. Expect extra travel scholarships, a big social event, special anniversary awards, and a plenary where senior PNP scholars reflect on the field's journey. It's shaping up to be a reunion worth attending, so start planning ahead!
Upon their review, the AOM Division and Interest Group Relations (DIGR) Committee found the plan to be thoughtful and grounded in honest self-assessment. They highlighted our doctoral consortium, financial position, and diversifying leadership as key strengths, while encouraging us to develop a more comprehensive member engagement strategy, clarify our distinctive identity, and consider a COO-type role to maintain institutional continuity.
Attached, you'll find the full strategic plan along with the feedback. I'd love to hear your thoughts — please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for being part of this community. Here's to a productive and fun few years ahead!
Warm regards,
