    Session details: This session aims to promote a conversation about research on strategic human capital that studies not only human capital as a source of competitive advantage, but also as a resource that critically shapes the social impact of organizations. This panel will consist of an exchange of ideas between panelists and the audience about questions such as:

    • What is a "strategic" human capital for social impact?
    • Can organizations benefit from focusing on the "human" element of strategic human capital? If so, when, and how?
    • How can organizations leverage advantages from strategic human capital while creating a positive social impact (to workers)?
    • What knowledge and skills are critical for organizations/entrepreneurs to address grand challenges?
    • What can pro-social/hybrid/public-sector organizations learn from existing strategic human capital theory?
    • Which organizational and geographic contexts generate interesting research questions on strategic human capital, social impact, and competitiveness?
    • How can researchers engage with organizations to foster this agenda?
