    Position Announcement: Diversity Postdoctoral Fellow

    The Department of Public Administration and Policy (DPAP) in the School of Public Affairs at American

    University invites applications for a full-time, postdoctoral fellow at the rank of Professorial Lecturer beginning

    August 1, 2017 and ending August 31, 2018. Applicants should have a PhD or an anticipated PhD completion by

    August 2017 in the field of public administration, public policy, political science, economics, or a related field.

    We encourage applications from candidates who are members of underrepresented racial and ethnic groups. Field

    of study is open but candidates conducting research in areas that build upon the strength of DPAP's faculty are

    especially welcome including the policy areas of education, health, and poverty as well as nonprofit and public

    management research. Postdoctoral Fellows will participate fully in the academic life of the department, including

    engaging with faculty and participation in DPAP's research seminar series. Teaching responsibilities will include two

    courses per academic year in the school's Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, and minor in

    Public Administration and Policy.
