CALL FOR CASES
SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP & SUSTAINABILITY TRACK
NORTH AMERICAN CASE RESEARCH ASSOCIATION
Dear friend,
We would like to invite you and your colleagues to submit a case for the Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainability track at next year's Annual Meeting of the North American Case Research Association (NACRA), to be hosted in Orlando, Florida from October 4-6, 2018. The conference is open to all management disciplines, and we can direct you or your colleagues to other tracks if more appropriate.
Deadline for ALL submission of cases is June 18, 2018. Noon EST
NACRA Annual Meeting is a unique opportunity to engage with other leading case researchers in a small-group format, to receive detailed and constructive feedback about your case, and to participate in presentations from experienced case researchers and educators. Our distinctive round-table track design provides an excellent professional opportunity to enhance your abilities to develop higher quality participant-centered and discussion-based cases in marketing and international business.
The Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainability track encourages and welcomes the submissions of teaching cases that relate to socially and environmentally responsible organizations, including but not limited to, social entrepreneurship, social business, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), non profits organizations, impact investment, microfinance, social innovation, new legal structures, certified B-Corporations, etc. The cases can be related to any functional area (Marketing, Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations, etc) and any vertical industry. We also encourage submission from different geographical perspectives as NACRA keeps growing its international presence.
Undisguised decision-focused cases based on primary sources (interviews, field visits) are highly preferred. Although cases may be disguised, they must be based on real events and real people in real organizations. Submitted cases may have been previously taught, but must not be previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere (journals, books, online) before the October 4-6, 2018 conference. Please see the conference links on the NACRA website for submission and formatting instructions (www.nacra.net).
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to include you and your colleagues in our track next year.
Best wishes,

"I've done a lot of statistical work in my career. But, that work would never allow me to accomplish whatever I've accomplished because it simply doesn't capture enough of the reality of management. We need to keep this balance between rigorous methodology-based academic work and case research – in-depth, clinical, longitudinal case research... without this balance, we will never make progress in this field... undertaking case studies has been fundamental to every bit of work that I've done."
