The University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in the area of Nonprofit Management. We seek an active scholar oriented to research and publication as well as high quality teaching. We are open to secondary areas of interest including, but not limited to, public policy, public administration, political science, evaluation, and community development.
The person filling this position will have an appointment in the Public Policy Administration (PPA) department, with a potential joint appointment in the department of Political Science. PPA, housed in the School of Public Policy and Administration, is an interdisciplinary program with core courses in both public policy and public administration. PPA offers a Master’s degree with an emphasis in nonprofit management, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management & Leadership. PPA is accredited by NASPAA. We seek candidates who can teach graduate courses in nonprofit management and in the PPA core curriculum, and undergraduate nonprofit management courses in Political Science, in the case of a joint appointment. Applicants should have their Ph.D. in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Political Science, or a closely related field by the date of the appointment, August 15, 2016.
