    Attend the Leading Forum for
    Scholar-Practitioner Approaches to Management

The advent of executive doctorate programs has created a paradigm shift from a focus on traditional research-oriented doctoral education and academic careers to one on the applied practice of management and how dissertation research is conducted and applied by scholar-practitioners.

This paradigm shift in doctoral education will be the focus of the Fifth International Conference on Engaged Management Scholarship (EMS). The EMS conference is the preeminent venue for sharing the research and knowledge produced in professional business doctorate programs. Current students, alumni, faculty, administrators, and others interested in these scholar-practitioner approaches to management are encouraged to attend.

The conference is organized annually by the Executive Doctorate in Business Administration Council (EDBAC), an organization representing 42 member schools in nine countries. EDBAC promotes the value of engaged management scholarship and seeks to raise its profile internationally. This year’s conference will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, on September 10–13, 2015, and is hosted by University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
