    Dear colleagues,

As Associate Editor of the International Journal of Public Leadership (IJPL), I cordially invite you to submit a paper for consideration for publication in this multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed journal. Ideas for Special Issues are also very welcome.

IJPL draws together the best international research and lived experiences of leadership beyond the corporate world, in the peculiar contexts of government, politics and civil society. Previously published as The International Journal of Leadership in Public Services, the change of title in 2015 reflects the increasing importance given to public leadership, both within and beyond government in the creation of public value. The Journal includes articles from all disciplines that add to the understanding of public leadership, and embraces theoretical and empirical research, alongside illuminating narratives on the exercise of leadership.

In this respect, IJPL represents a hugely valuable source of information and intelligence for everyone involved in public leadership and the design and delivery of public services; this is a very exciting time for the journal as we continue to build on its success over the last nine years!

    HIGHLY-READ ARTICLES INCLUDE:
Power and transformational leadership in public organizations Faye Barth-Farkas,Antonio Vera (2014); and

Employee motivation factors: a comparative study of the perceptions between physicians and physician leaders David Conrad, Marc Isaacon and Amit Ghosh (2015)

    SUBMIT A PAPER
Submissions are welcomed from academics and leaders across public services and are made using the ScholarOne Manuscript site: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ijpl. When submitting, please use Code IJPLCMQ1 to tell us where you heard about this opportunity.

SUBMIT A PROPOSAL FOR A SPECIAL ISSUE
Proposals for Special Issues should be emailed to the Editor and should include:
    - a provisional title, aims and rationale, explaining the distinctive contribution the proposed issue would make to the international field of public leadership and, in particular, ideas and insights on leadership beyond the corporate world, in the contexts of government, politics and civil society.
    - a biographical statement for the proposed Guest Editor(s), and information about other planned or potential authors of individual papers.

The Editor will consult the journal’s Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) on whether or not proposals should be accepted. The EAB is keen to ensure that all issues of the journal are truly international, with contributors from more than one country.
