One possibility is that there is no such book. Alternatively, you may find
that there are various books that outline areas close to this but none of
them hits the target exactly. If this is the case, please consider this an
opportunity rather than a roadblock. That is, your dissertation could become
the authoritative source for a question that nobody else has answered.
If this turns out to be the route you must take, then the question changes a
little: It becomes what are the related issues and literatures, taken
together, that make up the background for the question of your dissertation.
