The deadline for doctoral students to submit their dissertation research ideas for the Doctoral Consortium of the Academy of Management Public and Nonprofit Division is July 2nd, 2008. The Doctoral Consortium takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 9th and 10th, 2008, within the AoM Conference August 8th-13th, 2008 in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Anaheim</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">CA</st1:state></st1:place>.
The Doctoral Consortium is ideal for students at all stages of the PhD process, from formulating a dissertation topic to refining dissertation research. Benefits of participation include:
**One-on-one guidance on research ideas from senior scholars;
**Free lunch with keynote speaker Jack Knott, Dean of the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning, and Development;
**Advice on publishing from key editors in public and nonprofit administration journals;
**Guidance on navigating the job market from new and established faculty.
Students wishing to attend the Consortium should email a one- to three-page research proposal of dissertation ideas no later than July 2nd, 2008 to Leisha DeHart-Davis at lddavis@ku.edu.
