Research Associate (3 year fixed term)
Salary £27,466 - £32,795 (exceptionally to £35,837 pa)
<st1:placename w:st="on">Aston</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Business</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">School</st1:placetype> (rated 5 in the last RAE) invites applications for a Research Associate to work on an ESRC-funded project entitled Environmental Sustainability, Civil Society and Corporate Citizenship in the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Russian Federation</st1:place></st1:country-region>.
The project will examine the joint themes of environmental sustainability and democracy with respect to Russian profit and non-profit organisations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the primary and secondary data collection, participant observation and document analysis and will also be involved in conducting relevant literature reviews and the dissemination of findings to academic and non-academic stakeholders. This post will involve some travel to the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Russian Federation</st1:place></st1:country-region>.
Candidates will have a PhD or be close to submitting a PhD thesis in a related discipline and have experience of conducting interviews and analysing data in a transition or developing economy setting. Russian language skills would be an advantage.
