From <st1:date year="2008" day="1" month="6" w:st="on">June 1 - 4, 2008</st1:date>, over 800 nonprofit professionals will join together in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Washington</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">DC</st1:state></st1:place> for four days of celebration, learning, and action. <st1:personname w:st="on">Nonprofit Congress</st1:personname> 2008 - Convene • Connect • Commit is designed to build on the accomplishments of nonprofits across the country that are committed to positive change for our sector and our communities.
An important aspect of this meeting will be a series of educational sessions for attendees. The goals of the sessions are to share effective and innovative approaches that will advance the nonprofit sector. Your expertise and innovative ideas in areas of nonprofit operations, from communications to fundraising to advocacy to governance, can help advance the sector. We invite you to submit a proposal to share your knowledge and vision with attendees at this groundbreaking event.
Most sessions are expected to be 90 minutes; however, if you have an interesting or creative idea that will be best covered in two blocks of time (180 minutes) we encourage your submission. Proposals should be submitted electronically at www.nonprofitcongress.org/callforsessions. All selected presenters must attend the <st1:personname w:st="on">Nonprofit Congress</st1:personname> National Meeting and pay for a full registration. Deadline for submissions is <st1:date year="2007" day="31" month="12" w:st="on">December 31, 2007</st1:date>. In keeping with the democratic nature of this initiative, event attendees will be given the opportunity to vote on the final session selections. Selected presenters will be notified on <st1:date month="1" day="31" year="2008" w:st="on">January 31, 2008</st1:date>.
