Case studies for course on fundraising as leadership

    Hello colleagues,

I am in the process of designing a course entitled "Fundraising as Leadership," exploring the opportunities for development professionals and executives to use fundraising as an opportunity to exercise strategic leadership within an organization.  The course will be aimed at mid-career adult learners in a master's program in non-profit management.

I'm looking for case studies that would be useful as teaching tools on topics such as leadership succession, ethical dilemmas, board-staff relationships, staff-donor relationships, program-fundraising relationships, stewardship, organizational strategy, etc. in the context of fundraising.  (I.e. not these topics generally, but rather how they are experienced by practitioners or leaders engaged in fundraising, whether development officers, CEOs, volunteers, or consultants.)

If you have resources you can direct me to, such as specific cases, books, websites, etc. I would appreciate it greatly.

And while I'm at it, if you've heard of anyone teaching a course like this I'd be interested in trading ideas with them.  I did a Google search and found no references to courses or syllabi on the subject, other than general courses on non-profit leadership that deal with fundraising as a sub-topic.

    Thanks,
