    URGENT - URGENT

We are still in need of PDW submissions for the 2007 AOM conference in Philadelphia.

We are particularly interested in PDWs that:

    * 1) Showcase our knowledge of “Doing Good” by exploring topical and current PNP issues (e.g. tsunami and Hurricane Katrina
    response and other “BIG” issues).

    * 2) Review publication outlets and quality standards for journals that specifically address PNP issues and those that accept high
quality work irrespective of research context.

    * 3) Explore mid-career issues, research method issues, or ones that explore statistical skills, advancing research for publication, and networking.

    * 4) Review teaching topics and innovations in teaching.

So far I have received PDW proposals that relate to research methods and linking practitioners to scholars, teaching, and one that directly relates to the theme of the conference, but is not specifically related to a so-called "Big Issue."

PLEASE CONSIDER SUBMITTING A PDW WITHIN THE NEXT DAYS OR WEEK. AND PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME REGARDING YOUR IDEAS. I HAVE ATTACHED THE PDW PROPOSAL FORM TO THIS EMAIL. PLEASE SUBMIT TO NEIL BOYD AT BOYDPDW@LYCOMING.EDU

Beyond the possibilities listed above, please submit other innovative ideas. All sessions can take a number of
formats: workshop, interactive panels, skits, debates, and tours -- in either a traditional or nontraditional
    format.

Collaborations between practitioners and academics are particularly welcome to build upon each other's
strengths. We also encourage designing sessions that other divisions may want to co-sponsor and/or coorganize.
Please submit your PDW proposal, including the name of the organizer(s) (with affiliation, mail,
phone, etc.) its title, brief description of the session, the expected outcomes to the participants, desired time
required, preferred date and time, anticipated target audience, room layout suggested, and A/V needs.

Please submit the above information to the PNP PDW Chair:
Neil Boyd at BoydPDW@Lycoming.edu. Thank you for your active assistance in making the Philadelphia
    Conference a success.
