Call for Papers: IRM in Government Track

2007 Information Resources Management Association (IRMA) International
Conference, May 19-23, Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel, Vancouver,
    Canada

    Submission Deadline: October 4, 2006

The IRM in Government Track will focus on relevant issues facing the
government IRM practitioner attempting to manage information resources and
technologies in today’s highly connected and tumultuous world. Apart from
addressing domestic needs and issues, many government agencies are also
playing escalating roles in tackling international issues. These issues
range from conventional service provision and governance matters to more
urgent matters such as emergency response, crisis management and combating
security threats. Technological innovations, especially information and
communication technologies (ICT), are known to have a strategic influence
on the efficient, effective and efficacious management of data,
information and knowledge among public sector organizations. This track
on ‘IRM in Government’ aspires to be a forum for the exchange and
development of research and insights on the application of ICT in
addressing these pressing issues encountered daily by government
    organizations internationally.
