Can anyone help with the following issue. I am working with a public administration doctoral student who posed the following question about databases.
"I would like to compare some variables like people in religious organizations, non-profit organizations, youth leagues, years in house, even miles per commute (independent variables) along with demographic variables vs. dependent variables like mortality rates, hospital visits, cancer (by type), drug issues and suicide rates (dependent variables). I would like to see this data by either zip code, county or, at worst, by state. I would also like to have this data over time.
Goal: To look at social capital attributes when applied to health outcomes."
Does anyone know of single-source databases that would do the trick? Or possible combinations of databases? The student is searching for these databases in lieu of collecting their own primary data.
Thanks,
Neil
