About the School
The School of Economics and Management was founded in 1998 and now counts over 1000 students and 45 faculty members who study and work in three languages: German, Italian and English. Through academic excellence in research and teaching, the School contributes to the development of the South-Tyrolean economy while being solidly connected to international scientific networks.
The quality of its multidisciplinary and multilingual study programs are recognized both in Italy (3rd in the 2013 ranking of La Repubblica) and in Germany (top mark in the CHE Die Zeit rating for internationalisation and international publications by researchers). The undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students to participate actively and efficiently in tomorrow's regional and global economic world. They learn to find innovative solutions to economic and business problems through a multi-faceted analysis of each new situation they are confronted with.
The School has also been recognised as one of the best in Italy for its research (4th in Economics, 2nd in Law and Political Science according to ANVUR). The research developed by the faculty members reflects this multi-faceted approach, as specialists of Economics, Law, Management, Finance, Politics and Philosophy combine their efforts in several multidisciplinary projects. The results of most of these projects are published in international journals and presented at prestigious international scientific conferences.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
SECS-P/08 Economics and Business Management – Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management
Profile
The Assistant Professor (Junior University Researcher) will have a master or former 4-year-Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management or equivalent or a research doctorate in Economics and Management or equivalent, obtained in Italy or abroad.
Position
Successful candidates will show a passionate drive to become leading scholars in their own field. Funding for conference attendance is available. Teaching is in English, Italian and/or German. Teaching load is a minimum of 60 hours per academic year either in our undergraduate or masters programs. Candidates will supervise master dissertations and bachelor papers in their fields. Teaching assistants are also available. Appointments are full-time. The salary is competitive.
The contract is 3 years. Approximate starting date: October 2014.

The Research Assistant will have a degree in Economics and Management, knowledge of Statistics proved by passed exams or publications, research experience in the field of Economic Theory proved by publications or working papers.
