    Fellow Scholars,

     The Institute for Nonprofits at North Carolina State University and ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) have partnered up to provide access to datasets concerning nonprofit membership associations. The mission of the Institute and ASAE is to promote academic scholarship, collaboration, and promote knowledge in the nonprofit membership association arena. To that end, the datasets are available to academic professors, researchers, and graduate students. The datasets are completely free and require only a brief registration process. At this time we are aggressively marketing our research grants and awards for those scholars interested in this area:

     1) ASAE Travel Award for Academic Conferences

    ·         Applications for travel awards are available for faculty and graduate students interested in presenting their scholarship on membership or member-driven associations at academic conferences. 

    ·         $500-$2,500

    2) Investigator Incentive Grant for Research using ASAE Data

    ·         Applications for incentive grants are available for faculty and graduate students interested in conducting research on membership or member-driven organizations.  This competitive grant opportunity is available only to scholars planning to use ASAE datasets.

    ·         $2,000-$4,000

    3) ASAE Outstanding Academic Publication on Membership Organizations Award

    ·         This competitive award opportunity is available only to scholars who have published academic research related to membership associations or member-driven organizations. Nominated papers must be published between February 2013 and February 2014, papers accepted for publication or available online as of February 2014 will also be accepted.

    ·         $5,000
