    Dear Public and Nonprofit Member:

     

    REMINDER:  The Academy of Management nomination site for the PUBLIC AND NONPROFIT DIVISION will close on Wednesday, February 29, 2012

     

    WE HAVE A LOT OF OPEN POSITIONS THIS YEAR, SO PLEASE HELP US BY NOMINATING SOMEONE OR NOMINATE YOURSELF!

     

    If you have not already done so, we encourage you to participate in this important effort to choose the future leaders of PNP. Please take a moment of your time to visit the following website to nominate candidates - http://apps.aomonline.org/DivNomination. You will need to log-in using your last name and your member ID# as password.

     

    We encourage you to check with the individual you are nominating for permission before submitting his/her name as he/she will have to submit a resume expressing his/her interest for the position later.

     

    Listed below are the 2012 PNP open positions with their respective roles and terms.

     

    1. DIVISION PROGRAM CHAIR

    This is the Division's most important elected position. This individual is responsible for developing the Division's program for the annual meeting in 2013, and becomes PNP Chair-Elect in 2013-14, PNP Chair in 2014-15, and past PNP-Chair in 2015-16. Prior experience as PDW chair or organizing a conference is recommended. 4 Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2016)

     

    2. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE MEMBER

    This is one of three positions on the membership committee, which is in charge of membership recruitment and development. In the last year of the term, this person serves as chair of the committee.  3 Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2015)

     

    3. CHAIR, BEST ARTICLE AWARD COMMITTEE

    This individual develops and chairs an awards committee, pursuant to the Division bylaws, to review and recognize the best article in the field published in 2012, to be presented at the 2013 meeting.  1Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2013)

     

    4. CHAIR, BEST BOOK AWARD COMMITTEE

    This individual develops and chairs an awards committee, pursuant to the Division bylaws, to review and recognize the best book in the field published in 2010, 2011, or 2012, to be presented at the 2013 meeting.  1Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2013)

     

    5. CHAIR, BEST DISSERTATION AWARD COMMITTEE This individual develops and chairs an awards committee, pursuant to the Division bylaws, to review and recognize the best dissertation in the field successfully defended in 2012, to be presented at the 2013 meeting. 1Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2013)

     

    6. Liaison Committee Openings:

    The Liaison Committee shall consist of one liaison for each of the professional associations known as APPAM, APSA, ASPA, ARNOVA, and PMRA, and a sixth member representing international associations whose missions are related to the Division's mission. The function of the Liaison Committee is to establish linkages with these professional associations and to represent the Division at their annual meetings.

     

    ASPA Liaison – Represents the PNP Division at ASPA and develops connections between the two organizations and potential new members.  3 Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2015)

     

     

    APSA Liaison - Represents the PNP Division at APSA and develops connections between the two organizations and potential new members. 3 Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2015)

     

     

    PMRA Liaison - Represents the PNP Division at PMRA and develops connections between the two organizations and potential new members.  3 Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2015)

     

     

    International Liaison - Represents the PNP Division with international organizations and potential new international members.  3 Year Term (8/15/2012 - 8/15/2015)
