2017 PNP Division Scholarly Program: Call for Submissions

About the PNP Division. The Public and Nonprofit Division (PNP) of the Academy of Management focuses on multidisciplinary, multi-method research on public and nonprofit organizations.

Relevant Topics for Submission.  All topics relevant to PNP's interests are welcome, including those related to organizational behavior, decision making, strategy, transparency and accountability, publicness, diversity and inclusion, human resource management, collaboration and conflict, public service and community building, performance measurement and management, public service motives, theories of governance and the social and ethical dimensions of public and non-profit activity.  We are also interested in topics of organizational management, processes, social innovation/entrepreneurship, and performance as they relate to public, NGOs/nonprofit organizations. International perspectives and comparisons are encouraged. Submissions related to the 2017 Academy of Management Program theme, "At the Interface", are particularly welcome.  It is stated in the Academy of Management theme that "Interfaces establish boundaries that differentiate and separate; they mark a space where insiders can jointly define an organization's mission, develop an organizational identity, and participate in organizational activities. But interfaces also develop connections that facilitate communication, negotiation, and exchange across organizational boundaries."  This is also true for public and nonprofit organizations.  Therefore, incorporating the concepts from the "At the Interface" theme into your scholarly work is encouraged.

Instructions for Submission.  We seek completed papers and proposals for panels and symposia. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 5pm ET (NY Time). Only electronic submissions through the AOM submission system will be accepted.  Please meet all of the AoM guidelines for submission or else your submission cannot be accepted.
