The Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Pace University, invites applications for an anticipated
full time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Public
Administration to begin September, 2017. This position will be a bi-campus appointment and
the new faculty member will teach on both the Westchester campus, about 40 miles north of New
York City, and the downtown New York City campus.
The ideal candidate will possess an earned Ph.D. in Public Administration or a closely related
field, with the ability to teach courses in the Department's healthcare track preferred but not required.
Consideration will also be given to candidates who have a generalist capability to teach
foundation courses in public administration and across the three tracks that comprise the Master
of Public Administration program (healthcare, government, and non-profit management). The
Master of Public Administration program at Pace University currently has 150 diverse students, a
mix of pre- and in-career students. Candidates for this position should possess cultural competency
and be able to teach face-to-face, online, and hybrid-online courses. They are also expected
to develop a scholarship program that involves graduate students.
Pace is a culturally diverse university with over 12,800 students. The university has both a traditional,
suburban campus located in Pleasantville, NY, and a vibrant urban campus located in lower
Manhattan. Classes in the Master of Public Administration program are being taught on both
campuses and online.
