    FACULTY OPENING
    The Alberto Lleras Camargo School of Government at Universidad de los Andes, Colombia is pleased to invite applications for up to two (2) permanent faculty positions in public management, the first with a start date in April 2018 and the second with a start date in July 2018.
     
    Requirements
    Those applying should meet the following requirements:
     
    ·         Have a Ph.D. in hand (candidates about to defend their dissertations will also be considered).
    ·         Display solid training and experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.
    ·         Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in independent research including but not limited to publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and/or books published at academic presses of recognized quality.
    ·         Show a commitment to excellence in teaching, as demonstrated through experience in the classroom and strong teaching evaluations.

    ·         Local Management
    ·         Strategic Planning and Management
    ·         Regulation
    ·         Public Finance and Budgeting
    ·         Networks, Collaborative Governance and Private Sector Participation
    ·         Innovation and Knowledge Management in Public Organizations
    ·         Policy Analysis and Evaluation

    The School is interested in hiring up to two full-time candidates at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
     
    Application process
    Participants in the application process should prepare the following materials:
    ·         Cover letter, specifying current topics of research and main areas of interest, which the candidates will be expected to develop at the Universidad de los Andes School of Government.
    ·         Two letters of recommendation from researchers or scholars with first-hand knowledge of the candidates' abilities.
    ·         Description of general teaching areas and examples of courses of interest.
    ·         CV that includes:
    o   Publications
    o   Presentations at conferences
    o   Participation in research projects
    o   Awards, grants, and other honors received
    o   Courses taught, including the following information: institution of instruction and level of instruction (undergraduate or graduate). Course evaluations are optional.
    o   Name and contact information of two academic references (in addition to those who wrote the letters of recommendation).
