Dear Colleagues,
I am serving as Chair for the Southern Management Association's Track for Health Care/Hospitality Management/Public Administration this year. If you are not familiar with SMA (www.southernmanagement.org), it is affiliated with the Academy of Management and publishes the preeminent international Journal of Management.
It's time to start planning for the Southern Management Association's 2017 Annual Meeting, and I am writing to ask you to personally invite you to submit a paper, symposium, and/or a Professional Development Institute (PDI) proposal for consideration to be part of our program! I also ask that you consider volunteering to serve as a reviewer for the Health Care/Hospitality Management/Public Administration track. Additionally, please pass along this information to other colleagues and doctoral students.
The SMA meeting will take place October 24-28, 2017 in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. The meeting will be held at the Tradewinds Beach Resort. The combination of academic knowledge exchanges, fellowship and networking promises to make SMA 2017 a memorable conference experience for all attendees.
How Can You Be Involved?
We need you to submit your manuscripts, PDI and symposia and volunteer to review. The quality of our program is directly dependent on your active engagement! The deadline for submissions is April 24, 2017. We've made several minor changes to the submission process, so please review the 2017 SMA Call for Papers at:

We ask that you log into the system, create your membership profile, and create your reviewer profile upon receipt of this email. We have prepared PDF documents, available at the following links, that will guide you through the account creation (http://bit.ly/2ljD0Qa), reviewer signup (http://bit.ly/2ljD0Qa), and paper/proposal submission processes (http://bit.ly/2ljD0Qa). The reviewer signup is especially essential since we've moved to a new submission system, and will need to repopulate our SMA reviewer database. We also hope to limit each reviewer to reviewing for one Track and three papers total, so we'll need to build a large reviewer pool.
