Dear Colleague:

As the 2007 Public and Nonprofit Division Program Chair, I want to formally invite you to participate in the Academy of Management (AoM) Conference in Philadelphia (August 3-8). The theme of the 2007 Conference is "Doing Well by Doing Good." Though August seems far away we have some deadlines that are coming up:

It is now time to register as a PNP Division reviewer at http://review.aomonline.org/. Please remember that to serve as a reviewer you must go to this site and register. Even if you have served as a reviewer in the past, the AoM system will not recognize you as a reviewer if you have not registered this year.

The deadline for Professional Development Workshop (PDW) proposals is November 13th. Submit proposals to our PDW Chair Neil Boyd at BoydPDW@Lycoming.edu.

Papers and symposia proposals for the August conference are due January 15th. The submission website opens on November 1 and we are encouraged to submit papers and proposals early.

For those serving as reviewers, your reviews will be due on February 13th.

Additional Information for Reviewers: You do not need to be a member of the Academy or the Division to serve as a reviewer (please encourage your colleagues and research associates to register as reviewers). When you visit the site you will have the opportunity to sign up to review for as many as 5 divisions and/or interest groups. You will also be able to indicate your areas of expertise by selecting keywords.

The review process is conducted entirely online. Once you register as a reviewer you will be able to access your assigned papers online and you will submit your reviews online. As a reviewer you can expect to review approximately three submissions from the PNP Division. As part of the reviewer registration process you will also have the opportunity to volunteer as a Session Chair or Discussant.

The success of the PNP program depends not only on the quality of the paper and symposia submissions but also on the quality of the review process. To those of you who served as a reviewer in 2006 – Thank you! I hope we can count on you to do so again in 2007. To those of you who have not served as reviewers I encourage you to so. Our success depends upon the participation by members of our research community. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at pnp-kingsley@gatech.edu.

    See you in Philadelphia...
