    Dear colleague,

    We hope that all is well with you. We are writing to invite you to write a chapter for Volume 7 of our book series, Research Methodology in Strategy and Management (RMSM), due for publication in 2012.

    RMSM is devoted to enhancing the use of methods (broadly defined) within strategic management and allied fields. The series has been successful so far at featuring innovative ideas from leading thinkers. Past contributors include Jay Barney, Joel Baum, Phil Bromiley, Catherine Dalton, Dan Dalton, Sumantra Ghoshal, Kathy Harrigan, Mike Hitt, Anne Huff, Duane Ireland, Michael Lubatkin, Joe Mahoney, Raymond Miles, Margie Peteraf, Phil Podsakoff, Myles Shaver, Charles Snow, Bill Starbuck, N. Venkatraman, Jim Westphal, Larry Williams, and many other renowned authors.  You can view the Tables of Contents for each of the previous volumes on the website:

    In the light of growth and innovation taking place in emerging market economies, the theme of Volume 7 is "West Meets East: Challenges and Opportunities for Research Methodology in Strategy and Management." We are open to all topics that you believe needs attention within this broad theme. If you would like to contribute to this book volume, the schedule is as follows:

    -       May 31 2011 Deadline for submitting a 2-page proposal for your book chapter

    -       June 15 2011 Deadline for editorial decisions on the proposals

    -       November 30 2011 Deadline for full chapters. 

    -       December 31 2011 Deadline for editorial feedback for chapters. At this stage, we will quickly provide suggestions if we identify any areas where your contribution might be strengthened. It is important to note, however, that our aim is to provide a forum for expert opinion and commentary. We will not 'micromanage' your chapter; it is your opportunity to express your views.

    -       January 31, 2011 Deadline for final chapters

    We plan to have the volume published in the summer of 2012 and available at the Academy of Management meeting later that summer in Boston.
