    Call for Papers

The ISPIM Americas Innovation Forum 2014 will be held in Montreal, Canada on 5-8 October 2014. Organised by ISPIM, in collaboration with Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, HEC Montréal and Univalor, this event will bring together around 200 innovation experts from 25 countries. The event programme will tackle the region's key innovation issues by attracting top-level speakers from Canada and North America from academia, industry and government. The three-day event will include:
    - Multi-track sessions that mix academia, science, industry and government
    - Dedicated sessions and communities on innovation challenges for innovation in business and government
    - Showcases on Innovation Success in Montreal with presentations, discussion panels and site visits
    - Networking events: welcome reception (Sunday); gala dinner (Monday); informal social evening (Tuesday)

Once seen as the preserve of huge conglomerates and dedicated research facilities, innovation has become the concern and responsibility of all organisations and individuals. Innovation is at the heart of economic growth in the Americas and is no longer limited to technological innovation. Governments, academia, businesses and all forms of organisations must now reframe their thinking to implement innovation within their activity. New innovation models are taking shape and are being defined. Individuals are increasingly able, and expected, to contribute to driving innovation in their communities, leading to new types of collaboration and both social and open innovation thinking.

This Forum will address these issues and stimulate exchanges on the different strategies used by communities to adapt these emerging innovation models to their own realities. In particular, we will look at how governments at their respective levels can use innovation to support their communities, and how businesses, higher education and governments can maximize and combine their respective strengths to enhance each other's performance whilst staying true to their own unique identities and missions.

Submissions from academic, research, consulting, industry, intermediary and policy organisations are encouraged and should focus on the following themes:
    ü Business Model Innovation
    ü Design for Innovation
    ü Entrepreneurship
ü Ideas, Crowds and Value Creation
