The Department of Public Administration and Policy, Rockefeller College of
Public Affairs and Policy, University at Albany, seeks a tenure-track
Assistant Professor in the area of public management to begin fall 2007.
We are looking for candidates with research and teaching interests in one
or more of the following areas: inter-governmental and inter-sectoral
management, nonprofit management, comparative public management, human
resources management or organizational behavior.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Public Administration or a
related field, such as Psychology, Sociology, Political Science or
Management and have strong teaching and research skills. The degree must
be from a college or university accredited by a US Department of Education
or internationally recognized accrediting organization. Experience in
management practice is preferred but not required. Ability to contribute
to more than one of the listed research and teaching areas, or other areas
such as government information management, is advantageous. We seek a
future faculty member with the highest potential for contributing to our
strengths while adding depth to our teaching and research programs.

public and nonprofit sectors. The department offers an undergraduate
major, two masters degrees (Master of Public Administration and Master of
Arts in Public Affairs and Policy) and a Ph.D. in Public Administration
