    2009 iGov Research Institute 

    June 21-28, 2009

     

    Doctoral students from all countries are invited to apply for this week-long, intensive residential program on the impact of information and communication technologies on government and governance. The iGov Institute is focused on ways to advance, study, and understand digital government research in an international context. This 3rd annual Institute includes both academic sessions and practical field work and is organized around the experiences of a major city known for using advanced information policies and technologies for economic, cultural, and social benefits. The faculty team comprises internationally known researchers as well as senior government officials.  The 2009 venue is the <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Washington</st1:placename> and the City of <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Seattle</st1:place></st1:city>. 

     

    The iGov Research Institute is a program of the Center for Technology in Government at the University at Albany/SUNY and is supported by the US National Science Foundation.     The Center for Technology in Government at the University at <st1:city w:st="on">Albany</st1:city> is pleased to announce the 2009 iGov Research Institute held in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Seattle</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">Washington</st1:state></st1:place>, from June 21-28, 2009.  Supported by the US National Science Foundation, the Institute was created for doctoral students from around the world who are interested in the impacts of information and communication technologies on government and governance.  This 3rd annual Institute includes both academic sessions and practical field work and is organized around the experiences of a major city known for using advanced information policies and technologies for economic, cultural, and social benefits.
