    We would like to invite you to attend and participate in a lively and important panel discussion on the changing discourse surrounding public leadership! We hope to see you at the Academy of Management Conference in Philadelphia!

    9:30-11:20 am     Sunday, August 5th

    Public Leadership

    A session on "Leadership in the Public Domain" will be of particular interest in a city like <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Philadelphia</st1:city></st1:place>, for it will bring scholars specializing in public leadership together to discuss the social and collective dimensions of leadership characterizing post-heroic leadership across the policy context, the community context, and the interorganizational collaboration arena.  Dr. Sonia Ospina and colleagues from the <st1:placename w:st="on">Research</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Center</st1:placetype> for Leadership in Action, <st1:placename w:st="on">New York</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> will present their work along with Dr. Barbara Crosby and Dr. John Bryson from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Minnesota</st1:placename></st1:place>. Dr. Jerry Hunt and Dr. Kim Boal will offer their thoughts on the new light the work presented in this session brings to traditional leadership research.
