Happy New Year! Now is the time to look back on 2015 for the Best Dissertation of the year. Did you write it? Or maybe you chaired it?
The Best Dissertation Award Selection Committee for the Public and Nonprofit (PNP) Division of the Academy of Management requests nominations for the Division's 2016 Best Dissertation Award. Only three weeks remain to submit your nomination! Nominations due February 1.
This dissertation award recognizes important academic work and high quality intellectual contributions to the PNP fields. Dissertations that make contributions to the understanding of management in the public and nonprofit arenas will be considered. The award is sponsored by Jossey-Bass publishers, and the winner receives $250 in books from Wiley: Jossey-Bass.
Only dissertations defended during the 2015 calendar year are eligible for consideration. Nominees must be current members of the Academy of Management, but need not have been members on the date of their defense.
Submissions consist of two items: (1) An electronic copy of the dissertation, preferably pdf, and (2) An electronic copy of a nomination letter from the dissertation committee chair or other committee member. These materials must be submitted by February 1, 2016.
Submissions will be evaluated by three committee members:
