Public Administration/Nonprofit Management Position, 2007-2008
The Department of Political Science at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">North Carolina Wilmington</st1:placename></st1:place> invites applications for a position as a tenure-track assistant professor to teach classes primarily in nonprofit management in the Master of Public Administration Program, and also contribute to core MPA and undergraduate PA classes as needed. Position starts August 2007. An earned doctorate in Public Administration, Public Affairs, Public Policy, or a closely related field is preferred, but ABDs will be considered. An M.P.A. and/or prior professional experience in public or nonprofit policy or management are desirable. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in further developing the MPA program's nonprofit concentration, show promise as an excellent teacher and researcher, and have interest in working with professionals in the nonprofit community through UNCW's new initiative for Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations (QENO).
