Hello Public Administration Scholars, Practitioners and Students:
Due to end-of-semester crunches for faculty and students, we are extending the deadline to May 21 for proposals for the 2010 Southeastern Conference on Public Administration (SECoPA) to be held in Wilmington, NC on October 13-16. The Conference theme is Setting the Course for Excellence in Public Service and we welcome papers and proposals from practitioners, students and academics. Please see attachment for details on conference tracks and format for submissions.
Please note the attached Call for Abstracts for the Student Paper Awards as well!!!
We are receiving a number of excellent proposals and hope you will consider joining us for an exciting conference that will feature numerous workshops and field trips as well as outstanding panels, including:
- Pre-Conference Workshop conducted by the Alliance for Innovation
- Tour of WWII Battleship North Carolina
- Evening reception/cruise on Cape Fear River
- Tour of new Wilmington Convention Center w/panel on responsible public/private partnership
- Post-conference field trips including eco-tour on Cape Fear River, "green building" tour of Wilmington, and visit to historic Ft. Fisher and Aquarium
SECoPA 2010 is hosted by the UNC Wilmington MPA program and the Southeastern North Carolina Chapter of ASPA. We look forward to seeing you this fall in historic Wilmington on the beautiful Cape Fear coast!
