Student paper submission deadline for the 8th Annual International
Conference on Digital Government Research extended to February 12th

The deadline for student paper submissions to the 8th Annual International
Conference on Digital Government Research has been extended to February
    12th.

We encourage all students who have relevent projects and ideas to submit a
    paper.

The International Conference on Digital Government Research is a forum for
the presentation and discussion of interdisciplinary research on digital
government and its applications in diverse domains. It will be held May
20-23, 2007 at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

The student research paper track offers a chance for students to publish and
present research papers authored solely by students. These submissions
should report innovative digital government research results, in the form of
a formal scholarly paper (maximum 10 pages). Relevance to digital government
must be made explicit and the authors should identify the research topic(s)
being addressed by the paper to assist the program committee in the review
process. Student papers will be treated as full conference papers and will
receive a double blind review organized and administered by the student
program committee. There is also still time to submit for the
birds-of-a-feather and the poster and system demonstrations sessions

Possibilities for student funding are being explored, but have not been
finalized. First, we can match students who wish to share a room to cut
lodging expenses. Second, we are actively seeking support for student
stipends (and should be able to notify students whether this is possible at
the time student papers are accepted). Lastly, we anticipate there may be
an opportunity for students to volunteer at the conference in return for a
registration fee reduction. If you are interested in volunteering please
contact the student chair, Travis Kriplean, at travis@cs.washington.edu.

More detailed information about the conference and paper requirements can be
    found at http://www.dgsociety.org/call_for_papers.php

Please forward this notice on to any students who may be interested in this
    opportunity!

    Sincerely,

    The dg.o 2007 Conference Committee
